ROYAL GENEVE combines the best showjumping blood available with the combination of the best of Oldenburg, Hanoverian, Selle Francais and Holstein jumping lines. His dam, GENEVE has also produced "Oneve" who is awarded the "Keur Sport (Spr)" predicate and currently jumps at 1.40m, and "Arza MW" who was awarded "Ster".
ROYAL GENEVE was the true start to our success here at MFS Studfarm. He has produced numerous 1st Premium offspring, "Ster" mares and Champion horses. In 2005 his daughter MFS ASHANTI was 5th highest placed foal in Scotland judged by KWPN Inspectors from Holland, and is one of the first daughters to be used in our breeding programme. In 2007 he produced the Champion Foal of Scotland. His son MFS B'ROYAL was Champion of the 2008 BEF Young Horse Evaluations for 2 Year old Showjumping Colts/Geldings, and then went on to become Reserve Champion of the BEF Elite Championship Show for 2 Year Showjumpers in the UK.
His first offspring under saddle are now proving themselves in the dressage arena, with RIVIERA L winning all his classes with Laura Fry and now competing successfully up to Advanced Medium Level in 2011/2012. His son MFS CASINO ROYAL who was Champion Foal in Scotland in 2007 is now competing successfully in 2011 in 4 Year Old Classes in Ireland, qualifying twice for the 4 Year Old Championships at Cavan International and sparking a lot of interest. Also the gelding ARTFUL DODGER who is doing very well in eventing in 2011.

ROYAL GENEVE sadly only had 5 seasons at stud before his tragic untimely death in 2006, the spring that we lost him we had 45 mares booked to him by January! However, despite this his offspring are excelling in all disciplines. The dam of ROYAL GENEVE is the Holstein mare GENEVE. She has produced the "Ster" mare ARZA MW (Indoctro) and the "Keur Sport (spr) 1.40m" mare ONEVE (Concorde). The breeders (Wessels & Vetker) of the Approved KWPN stallion WIZZERD WV (Indoctro x Corland), that is currently competing very well in showjumping up to 1.45m own two daughters of GENEVE, namely ONEVE and UNEVE. ONEVE has already produced one "Keur" daughter called TONEVE (Natal).
A half sister to the dam GENEVE, called FANJA (Tanger) is the great grandmother to the fully Approved Holstein stallion CONVERSUS (Cassini I) and ROYAL GENEVE'S great grand mother ELLE (Fax I) can also be found in the SBS Approved stallion COPPERFIELD VON DER HELD (Cassini I).
SILVIO II absolved his Stallion Performance Test in Medingen in 1993, with the highest jumping index of the year. He has enormous jumping capacity combined with a very good technique. His offspring have outstanding looks and a lot of elasticity in their movement. SILVIO II was an International Showjumper under German rider Ulrich Kirkhoff. SILVIO II is sire to several International Showjumpers including NANDO, NICOLINE, NOEL, NOVELLO GIRL, NYACINTHE and OLYMPIA. A Daughter of SILVIO II is dam of the two VDL STUD Approved stallions BORDEAUX VDL and TALOUBET VDL both by BALOUBET DU ROUET. The full brother SILVIO I is sire to the top International Showjumper SHUTTERFLY ridden by Meredith Michaels-Beerbaum's.
The sire of SILVIO II, the Holsteiner SANDRO Z (Sandro Song) is one of the most successful breeding stallions in both dressage and show jumping, as well as being one of the first stallions to prove himself in the sport. Under Franke Sloothaak, he accumulated a career lifetime winnings of DM 55,000. SANDRO Z's progeny are very sought after for sport horses - three of his progeny competed at the 1994 WEG in The Hague including Sandro Song (Ante Smlesa), Safari (Michael Abo) and Paradiso (Rolf-Göran Bengtsson). Sandro is the sire of more than 40 licensed sons, the most successful being Silvio I and II, Sandro Song, Sao Paulo, Salido Z, and Sandro Boy. In the survey of the world's top 75 jumping sires, Sandro is 37th with 8 CSI winners including World Cup Champion, SANDRO BOY.
GEPARD (Gotthard) was a European sire of many approved stallion sons. He stood at the internationally famous stable of Paul Schockemohle. He has had a lasting influence on Paul Schockemohle's herd of mares. The Schockemohle’s are well-known for their PSI auction house around the world. GEPARD held top 10 placings in the Oldenburg Stallion book for his offspring production winning sums for many years. He produced 12 Grand Prix Show Jumpers.
AHORN Z was an international jumping legend with the Dutch team competing in many World Cups and Grand Prix. He is famous for producing international show jumpers and breeding stallions, including ACORD I, ACORD II, and ACORD III. AHORN Z transmits courage, determined character and sincere force and structure without removing class. His dam, HEUREKA Z, competed internationally and had many wins in Hamburg, Aachen, Bruxelles, Noerten-Hardenberg, Vienna, and Berlin, and won the Grand Prix of Aachen. She was one of the most successful international jumpers in the period 1969-71, and was ranked as one of the best broodmares in the world. The sire of AHORN Z, was one of the most influential stallions in the world ALME. With dual recognition as the "Father of World Breeding" and "The Stallion of the Century", only Northern Dancer is comparable in pedigree and influence on modern breeding. Today ALME is the only stallion in the World to have fathered 2 World Champions and 3 Olympic horses. He competed internationally with François Mathy and Johan Heins.
CALETTO II was a sensation right from the start and was acclaimed Champion of his Stallion Licensing in 1980 - he was considered the perfect Holsteiner type. He also showed wonderful jumping technique, and later proved this in the showjumping ring with Herbert Bloecker, where the stallion won many tests for riding horses. At a regional show in September 1984, after being proclaimed best in the show, CALETTO II was waiting to go into the arena, when he reared up, fell over and broke his neck! Just how great a loss CALETTO II has been is shown by the fact that he is ranked 16th in the standings for 1990-2000, with his two megastars, Operette La Silla and Jewel's Classic Touch contributing the bulk of the points. CALETTO II's son CARETINO jumped internationally with Bo Kristoffersen and later with Ludger Beerbaum, and is himself the sire of CARETANO Z, who was leading the 2000 TNT Sires of the World Standings, when he tragically died following colic complications.
The sire of CALETTO II is none other than the World Famous and Foundation Stallion COR DE LA BRYERE. A stallion that revolutionised jumping horse breeding. His is the name astute breeders like to see, especially on the mare line , for ‘CORDE’ tends to give great form over a jump. He was not only a sire himself but a sire of sires. The full brothers, CALETTO I, II and III were stars, as were the brother quartet of CALYPSO I to V. In the jumping arena, his handsome grey son, CORRADO I has been a star for Franke Sloothaak, while CORDALME Z with Gilbert Böckmann has also been successful at international level. Although best known as a sire of jumping horses, COR DE LA BRYERE was also the sire of CORLANDUS, a World Cup Dressage Champion in 1989, and his sons CALYPSO I and II have proven a useful sire of dressage horses. Current German Olympic team member, CHACOMO ridden by Alexandra Simons de Ridder is by CALYPSO I, as was Alexandra’s other FEI star, CHAMPUS.
In the WBFSH ratings for 1992/2001, COR DE LA BRYERE is ranked 18th with 28 points earning progeny, but there are a staggering 20 own sons on the rankings: Calando I, II, IV; Caletto I, II; Calvados I, II; Calypso I, II, III; Cantares, Carneval, Carte d’Or, Casanova, Cavalier Royale, Cinzano, Constant, Contact, Corrado I, Cortez 679, Cosinus. There are also 12 grandsons of COR DE LA BRYERE in the standings – not to mention important stallions like Cathago and Burggraaf – who are out of COR DE LA BRYERE mares.
There were five representatives of the COR DE LA BRYERE line in the final of the 2009 European Showjumping Championships, including the silver medallist, Corradina (by Corrado out of a Sandro mare) ridden by Carsten-Otto Nagel.
